Well, I made a few changes all at once, and ended up with a mess!
To start with, I moved to bigger paper. Then, I stood up. And biggest change of all, I tried oil pastels with turp as a way to ease into the painterly world.
Ouch,
Oh well, it's a good first step.

not at all a failuer.. my uninvited critique..just work with the background, i think your purple is a tad to strong..You are amazing, i am anxious everyday to see what more you can say in a self portrait.. VanGogh must be chanelling thru!!
