100 in 100, Day 1

self portrait
pastel
, 9x12 inches

Thank you to Rowena for the inspiration to make 100 artworks in 100 days. I have no idea where 100 days of art will take me. I went easy on myself with pastels for the first day. I'm a bit rusty, but this is a good starting point.

I thought it would be good to bookend the 100 days with self portraits.

You could paint a picture in one day? And ready to do more tomorrow? U my hero!

this reminds me of Van Gogh. I like it. Are you going to do all self portraits, or that's just your first one?

I think that if other people weren't doing this challenge with me, I would just quietly forget that I said I would do it.

So thanks for coming along on the journey, and I can't wait to see what you do.

Thanks, everyone.

Rowena--it's not my plan to do all portraits, but since I did the first two, I might stick with it for a while.

My goal is fairly modest: get my art-making muscles back in shape. Beyond that is just magic.
