Let me think...

I've been tagged by m.heart at secret notebooks ...wild pages for a meme of the moment.

Q: What is your current obsession?
A: My creativity reemerging as my house and garden Spring to life.

Q: Which item from your closet are you wearing most lately?
A: Several pairs of striped long johns (not all at once!), I wear them as pajamas, as pants, and under spring dresses.

Q: What’s for dinner?
A: I made a delicious four course meal last night, so tonight will probably be a popcorn party for family movie night: popcorn drizzled with an olive oil/butter blend, fresh fruits & veggies, cheeses, dried fruits, and nuts.

Q: What was the last thing you bought?
A: I bought a soapstone mortar and pestle today, but I think I really need a cauldron.

Q: Say something to the person who tagged you:
A: Hey m.heart! Thank you so much for inspiring me. You have helped me to rise from the ashes to reclaim my creative self.

Q: Favorite vacation spot?
A: My folks live in southern California so all my vacation time is spent there. It's a very nice place to vacation.

Q: What are you reading right now?
A: I'm still reading, while fighting finishing ('cause I don't want it to end), Persepolis, by Marjane Satrapi.

Q: What four words would you use to describe yourself?
A: imaginative, insightful, passionate, grateful.

Q: What is your current guilty pleasure?
A: I'm addicted to gummi worms.

Q: What will be the first spring thing you do?
A: The first thing we do when the snow melts is tour the yard to see if anything is peeking out yet.

Q: Where are you planning to travel next?
A: I have no concrete plans, but am mulling the idea of taking the girls to New York or Vermont for some of April vacation.

Q: What's on your coffee or bedside table?
A: lamp, Persepolis, drawing book, new mortar & pestle, address book still awaiting update, a glass of water w/ a splash of acv.

Q: What flower are you most anxious to see bloom this spring?
A: Lots and lots of pear blossoms, please.

Q: What fresh vegetable are you most looking forward to this growing season?
A: I'm excited to be growing many veggies this year, but I'll say: edamame. We had trader joe's frozen ones last night and the girls gobbled them up.

Q: What is the last live music show you attended?
A: Wow, I had to check my calendar. Apparently, the last time I went out without kids was when I played the Townes Van Zandt tribute at the Elevens on 11 May 08!!

Rules of the meme: Respond and rework. Answer the questions on your own blog; replace one question that you dislike with a question of your own invention; add one more question of your own. Tag eight other un-tagged people.

I'll tag Rowena at warrior girl, henning at The Living Rockumentary, Stephen at Stevie Guide, racymind, Hecate, Serena, erg at keeping it lit, and ntodd at Dohiyi Mir.

thanks, m.heart.

yes, i did take it: we were at a friend's for supper and the kitchen got smoky. when i saw the sunlight streaming in the window of the adjacent bathroom, i asked my daughter to go in and sit down. that's why it's such a close crop--getting the toilet out of the picture!
