100 in 100, Day 50

self portrait with crows over the wheat field
pastel, 9x12 inches

Van Gogh. Crows Over The Wheat Field, July 1890

Whoohoo! 50! The halfway point, and one thing I've learned is that when soft pastels try to do what oil paints do, they make my paper cry. So, the question is: will I be brave enough in the coming 50 to try paint? It's been sooooo long...

I just saw this painting at the VG museum in Amsterdam, I was so struck by it that I bought the post card, and I'm thinking of buying a reproduction to hang. That's a really striking version you've done, talent and imagination. I've been really enjoying your paintings and posts.

Woo hoo! 50! I'm behind. Or atleast, I'm behind in posting. And I don't actually know what day is the 50th day, but anyway,

HAPPY HALF WAY POINT!

BTW. LOVE this one. Again, I am struck by your interpretations of the great masters.
