Lilacs

Once again I was pleasantly surprised that my point-and-shoot camera was able to get the shot that I saw. You should click on it to see the enlarged version, for the full effect.

I thought of calling this one "Lost Innocence," or something equally cliched. The innocence lost was mine, and yet I somehow have it to lose over and over again. It does make me worry what sort of role model I am for my girls.

Peace.

It has a surrealistic flavor that I really like.

The dark row of trees on the left seems to direct up and right, contrasting with the angles of the hanging blanket and the light area that rises up straight through the picture right of center, providing another line of movement.

It's pretty, and nicely composed, too. Good work, dudette!

You never lose your innocence, you simply put it aside when it is not needed. Putting it aside is easy, it's picking it back up again that takes some character. An excellent lesson for the girls, I think.
