100 in 100, Day 100
Whoohoo! I did it! If you'd like to see them all as a gallery, here's my facebook album. Yes, there are really one hundred! I have enjoyed this project. Thank you again to Rowena for being the ringleader. It has been a long time since I've made art a daily practice. It feels good to have my artist self reawaken.
Over the course of these one hundred works, it was much easier for me to create a finished piece using pastels. Painting, especially a painting in a day, or an hour, was tough for me. My brush handling skills are rusty, so things sometimes turned to mud. There have been some drawing and painting disasters here, along with some good works. It was liberating to have committed to the challenge, and just keep moving forward. I learned a lot and had fun.
What's next?

just wonderful.. i LOVE the straw hat.. so very Cezanne
Maybe another 100--or 73, or 349, or whatever number suits you as a goal--but with a different subject? Landscape, still life, one/both of your daughters? They might be a bit young for the patience required to pose, but on the other hand the resulting picture of Just Them might serve as motivation in this regard.
They could even take part, perhaps by drawing a mask of some sort symbolizing what they felt like that day or an animal they'd like to be...this would take care of identification issues you might not be comfortable with.
just a thot... great work and inspiring to see you carry through.
Ina! This was amazing to watch. Well done, you.
thanks for the inspiration / i did self portraits every day during an emotional crisis some 40 years ago / i saved most of them and treasure them now / your project inspires me to draw something every day again / good job
